Here at Canyon Ranch Dental Care, we have been persistently working to ensure that the health of our patients and team remain the top priority. We are diligently following the guidelines given by the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to reopen our office safely. New protocols, protections, and purifying mechanisms have all been implemented to keep our office clear of COVID-19.

Our New Protocols

COVID-19 screening questions when creating your appointment, and 24-48 hours before your appointment.

We will take and record your temperature upon arrival at our office as a part of the screening process.

•  Masks must always be worn by all persons for the entire visit.

•  We no longer offer magazines, books, games, and toys in the reception area  We will further minimize paperwork in our office and conduct as much business as possible through our digital patient management system.

•  Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

We will do everything possible to make sure you feel safe and welcome in this new environment!

To minimize the number of people in our reception area, we ask that those to stay in their car and call our office when you arrive for your appointment.

What to expect on your visit. Our office has implemented the use of additional measures that will keep you and our team safe:

Plasma Wave 2.0 Technology, an air purifier that neutralizes particles at the molecular level and filters airborne contaminants

Air Scrubber by Aerusattaches directly to the HVAC system ductwork to remove air pollution, VOCs, surface contaminants, and odors and dust

Intraoral and Extraoral HVAC System, to minimize aerosol spread

Shoe Sanitizing mat, placed in your first step into the office

Hypochlorous Acid, a non-toxic, antimicrobial agent, used to routinely clean the office

UV Light Sterilization, used to further disinfect any surfaces

We trust that you, as part of our dental care family, will work with us to uphold these safety standards to keep our team and community safe.

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF & OTHERS

As businesses begin to reopen, doing your part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 remains to be the utmost priority. Here are ways you can protect yourself and those around you in this time, as recommended by the CDC:

 >> Know how it spreads

"The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus."

Because there is no current vaccine for preventing COVID-19, educating yourself on the way the virus spreads can be the most helpful way to keep you and others safe. The virus is spread from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, which can spread through close contact and talking, coughing, and sneezing. Additionally, recent research has suggested that those without symptoms may be prone to also spreading the virus. Continue doing your part by staying 6 feet away from others and abiding by physical distancing.

>> Wash your hands often

Washing your hands with soap and water for 20-30 seconds is the easiest way to break down any bacteria or viruses that you may have been in contact with. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, and if soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

>> Avoid close contact

Keep distance from those who are sick, and avoid close contact with people outside of your home. Those who are asymptomatic can still possibly spread the virus, so it is important to stay at least 6 feet apart from other people.

>> Utilize face masks/cloth coverings for your nose & mouth

Covering your nose & mouth with a cloth face cover plays a very important role in preventing the spread of the virus to other people. Even if you do not feel that you are sick, wearing a mask will help protect others, especially those who are immunocompromised, by cutting down 95% of the breathing that could send the virus 6 feet away in a room. Avoid handling your mask with unwashed hands and wash it regularly in order to ensure proper usage.
